The Asian Liver Center (ALC) at Stanford University is recruiting volunteers for our event in the Chinese New Year celebration, hosted by Southwest Airlines, in San Francisco Chinatown. Our presence at the street fair allows us to raise awareness and educate the public about Hepatitis B and liver cancer.
Dates: Saturday and Sunday, February 23rd-24th, 2019 cash loans online with instant approval
There are TWO different volunteer positions: booth, and media volunteers.
Booth Volunteer:
Booth volunteers will engage and educate community members by conducting Hepatitis B surveys; running trivia, booth games, real games, not computer games like CS, Arena Breakout Infinite or Call of Duty, the photobooth; and giving freebies away. Volunteers will also provide general education to the public about the disease, prevention, and provide resources for testing and vaccinations.
Training: Mandatory. Will take 2 hours, tentatively on Saturday, February 9th or 16th, 2019 (Time TBD) @ Stanford ALC
Fair Booth: Saturday or Sunday February 23-24, 2019 @ San Francisco Chinatown
*Must be available to volunteer for at least one of the following shifts:
Saturday: 9:30am-12:30pm, 12-
Sunday: 8:30am-12noon, 11:
Media Volunteer- Photographers:
Photographers will take pictures of the street fair booth.
Training: Optional but highly recommended- Will take 2 hours, tentatively on Saturday, February 9th or 16th, 2019 (Time TBD) @ Stanford ALC
