HS Advisory Board Bios

Michelle Kwon

Currently a stressed, yet motivated junior, Michelle Kwon has established herself as a nerd at Canyon High School (CHS). Although focused on her studies, Michelle is also actively involved in her extracurriculars, being the founder and president of CHS Team HB, president of Medical Explorers #7, secretary and treasurer of CASC, secretary of Student Environmental Advocates, Gold Award girl scout, principal oboist of the Pacific Symphony Youth Wind Ensemble, and the opinion editor of her school newspaper. Aside from being a busy bee, Michelle loves to grab some jamoca ice cream, scream on roller coasters, sing on Youtube, and travel with her best friends.

Stefanie Kong

Stefanie Kong is delighted to be part of the first Team HBV High School Chapter Board. A junior at Saint Francis High School, she leads the string ensemble, Interact, and Shakespeare Clubs.  She enjoys music very much, as she plays the piano and Chinese zither. She has been with the Asian Liver Center since freshman year and served on the Jade Ribbon Youth Council for two years. This year Stefanie hopes to strengthen the network of Team HBV high school clubs, start her own chapter at St. Francis, and spread hepatitis B/liver cancer awareness with everyone’s help!

Honora Ip

Honora is a junior from Palo Alto High School. She loves eating, listening to music and writing short stores in her free time. She also has random habits such as relating herself to characters in literature and distinguishing all the pitches in a song. She feels excited to become part of High School Team HBV’s Advisory Board because she finds it rewarding to serve for a cause she truly believes in.

Pearl Chang

Pearl Chang is currently a junior at Irvington High School, and she looks forward to her first year on the HBV High School Board. She is a member of Key Club and Leo Club and the secretary of a non- profit organization called WCEO Super TA. During her free time, she likes to spend time with her family and friends, listen to music, watch Disney movies, and most importantly, help win the fight against hepatitis B!

Jimmy Zheng

Jimmy Zheng is honored to be on the Team HBV Board, which is going to be awesome this coming year! He is a Saratoga High School student and currently very interested in calculus. Eh, just kidding… He is part of the SHS Mock Trial Team, Symphonic Wind Ensemble, Triple-I Club, and a non-profit organization called Big Brothers Big Sisters. Jimmy loves to meet new people and is quite gregarious. He is in love with Emma Watson, LoL, and music. He looks up to Will Smith and tries to imitate his acting skills. Jimmy hopes to contribute significantly to eradicating the hepatitis B Virus.

 Colin Man

Colin is a sophomore at Dougherty Valley High School. Enthusiastic to help the Hepatitis B cause after attending YLC, he started a local Team HBV chapter at his school. Creating a careful balance between his other extracurricular activities such as ASIA club, chess club, and Science Alliance, Colin also participates in a multitude of competitions related to Chinese culture and history. In his limited free time, he likes to learn about computers and the newest technology. Colin is excited to be a part of the Team HBV High School Board and will definitely work hard to make it successful and help eradicate hepatitis B.
