Pearl Milk Tea Fundraiser

10/17/12, Saratoga High School, Partnership with Sogo Bakery

We hosted a Pearl Milk Tea Fundraiser at our school not only to increase our budget but also to spread the word about our club. This event was also a means to increase participation from within the club. We reached the students and faculty at our school

This is a local community fair held at my high school. The LIVERight Club at SHS asked for a booth in this fair and we surprisingly got the best possible spot. We both fund-raised and outreached to the people who came. We reached community members, elders, teens, basketball teams, soccer teams, friends, and parents.

Summary and Reflection

Our goals were to strengthen our club from last year (basically to renew the chapter). Last year, the leaders of the LIVERight club did not do a good job in maintaining the hype of the club. Therefore, I wanted to at least get the club started for future years. So far, the club has been doing fairly well. We are starting again tomorrow with our first meeting, and we have a lot going for us.

We are going to expand our outreach attempts beyond our school and go to community fairs outside of Saratoga. We are also going to host fundraisers to increase our budget for events that may require expenses and social bonding activities.
Improvement points: we need to get people more involved. Because it’s been hard to start the club up, as president, I have been doing most of the work. This semester, I am starting to let my club members take over, especially to sustain the club in future years.
