The Ping and Amy Chao Family Foundation was founded in California’s Silicon Valley in 2005 by Ping Chao and his wife Amy Chao. It was established exclusively for charitable purposes. The foundation aims to fund and nurture initiatives improving the health and well-being of children and youth in economically disadvantaged regions throughout the world; promoting the spirit of philanthropy and developing awareness of non-profit practices and opportunities for service for the younger generation of China and the greater Chinese Diaspora.

Viet Biet was started under a funding mechanism from AAPCHO.  The project aims to promote great knowledge of Hepatitis B in ethnic media and interested community-based organizations.  Their purpose is not to promote or to target community members, but rather to guide.  Through multiple years of experience working with AAPI population, Viet Biet plans to give the general community access to health content information that has so far been blocked due to multiple barriers including lack of resources, literacy/health literacy and awareness.
